External modem

I still have a Diamond SupraExpress 56K. It was a little quirky Linux-wise, 
but always worked reliably  with a little coaxing (back in the day). It 
seems to have survived a few more thunderstorms than my old US Robotics 
modems. I still have it on backup if my DSL throws a fit. 

I still have a couple of hoarded US Robotics modems at work, but I don't 
have the model #s handy.

All above still serial - until new hardware......
