Hi list,
Shawn Taylor contacted me recently asking how I was and how I was with
the Queensland Flood catastrophe that has visited us her in OZ. Well I
have aged, this is just FYI, now heading for 78 in May. Do not
do anything these days in computing as such due to no short term memory
loss. Also I have come to terms with the fact that I my age I cannot do
what I did at 25, also my Heart Attack is now 19 years ago.
Shawn told me some of you were interested in how we were weathering to
Brisbane Floods so I thought it might be an idea to relist and answer
any queries you might have. I do believe that you are getting
some images of this disaster in The US on TV but its hard to live in
another country and determine what you are seeing in real terms not
knowing what the areas you are seeing relate to, so i might be able
to help here. The Cost is Hugh in monetary terms as the area under water
is massive 80% is what the Govt. is telling us, however that does not
include what is also happening in New south Wales. So an area
approx 2Mill Kilometers has been or is under flood.
As I have no idea of how busy the list is nowadays and this is the only
address I could dig up I hope I am not treading on toes as I did in the
past <:-()
I still am online at kantoine at optusnet.com.au and use this machinery for
Panoramic Low Light Photography 90% of the time.
Ok as its time for my nana knap and to give you time to get over the
shock of "S*** the old b***tads back syndrome: I'll close
