my minimums:
core 2-quad w/ min 8Gb RAM (1Gb min for each server plus 2 Gb for the
system).  The guests and hosts cannot share RAM, each gets their own.

I've also found VirtualBox runs better without the KVM modules, so I
turn that off.  Note to self:  recheck now, that was 2 years ago.

Should not if each has sufficient resources.  Don't try this on a
memory-starved laptop running an Intel Atom.
