Is the economy really that bad in the US? It's all barreling downhill here, but I thought it would be better in the US. Even after the dot-com bust, employment and the general state of the economy in the US seemed pretty good by Singapore standards. I remember when I was in Atlanta in 2001, I was impressed at how prosperous that city was, and how everything is BIG there, from buildings to cars to food! 

Oh, I almost forgot, I have to mention one thing on this list: Linux!
