Not to be unsympathetic, but after digging out from consecutive 20"+
blizzards within 5 days here in Baltimore, it's hard to get worked up
about 8 or so inches of snow. ;)

Normal snowfall in B'more for an entire winter season: ~18"
Current total: ~80"
Counting the storm we had in December, we've had 3 snow storms of 20 or
more inches.Historically, our worst snows are in late February and early
March.
My wife teaches in a local elementary school. She's been home since
Friday afternoon, 2/5 (the school had 1/2 a day). Monday is supposed to
be a holiday (President's Day) and we might get another 4-8" on Tuesday
(depending on what weather site you use). They may not re-open the
schools until April...
