Anyone using the new(ish) hpsa driver with an HP RAID array?

Figured I'd add to the end of year rush in list traffic.  Anyone here
using the new(er) hpsa driver on an HP server that has an 'HP Smart
(RAID) Array' (instead of the older cciss driver)?  For the unaware,
this driver presents the arrays as 'ordinary' SCSI devices to the OS.
For example, instead of some crazy /dev/cciss/c0d0 block device, it
just shows up as /dev/sda.

I'm asking, because I can't find any way to actually check the SMART
status of the physical disks in the array, and I'm wondering if its
just not possible?
