We use XFS on disks in image capture systems that record live video
streams. The computers have no system disk, so the XFS data disks are
the only ones present. These are used in systems in a vehicle on the
road. So, shutdown is not always as one would hope. Not so much a UPS
issue as an operator issue. We collect many disks (hundreds) over the
season. We have had no issues. The journaling seems to be robust in
light of the shutdown irregularity.
