Yes, I've been using it for over a year now....  just couldn't take the 
original versions of KDE4 with all the problems.   I still think it is more 
glitz than I want but I should go look at it again.

In any event, XFCE4 works well and is very close to KDE3 in its operation yet 
it runs with less overhead.

The only difference you may notice is that it takes two clicks on an icon to 
start an app...   why they do that (and don't make it an option) I'll never 
know.
