Yes, welcome indeed!

Many of us have never left, but the list has certainly become a
low-traffic phenomenon. In the early days Linux distros needed lots of
howto's and hand holding to get any of the standard wish list of
packages to function. Now, almost every distro "just works" on almost
every imaginable type of PC and laptop, so we're down to the comfort
of "old friends" interchanges or the occasional edge case.
