Since no one else has jumped in ...
I've not used the hdmi cable yet, only the VGA cable (using a VDI to
VGA adapter) and the various speaker connectors on the computer, all
of which works.

The hdmi connection to my TV I tried some time back, but could not get
an X screen, only a VT to work, so I stopped. May try again as Xorg
has had several upgrades since. But because all the various speaker
outputs work, I expect audio to work via the HDMI cable.

Currently using Debian Squeeze (2.6.30 kernel) with whatever that
brings (v 1.0.21).

If I get a chance to play with it this weekend and can get the X
driver to work, will report back. Kids love to watch movies from the
computer (and saves my DVDs from getting scratched by them).
