FWIW, I think the folks on fedora-kde would disagree. I don't know. My
son seems to not have any problems running KDE4 on kubuntu (judging from
the number of times he's not asked me to help him do something).

The little bit I've used it on the F11 x86_64 install (which I hope to
have live soon, maybe even before F12 is released), it seemed pretty
snappy.
