Super Stylin' Desktop Distro. (Sorry Lonnie. Like Ken, I couldn't resist.)

I upgraded my laptop from 9.04 and everything went as expected,
perfectly. I very much like the new themes that are available. I've
signed up for but not yet used the free version of UbuntuOne. It
looks cool but I'm still a bit unsure of the security aspects. My
wife and kids seemed to be using the upgraded laptop with no issues,
but that pretty much includes Firefox, OO.o, and Tux Paint.

I feel as though it might be a little slower booting and shutting down
but I'm not certain of that and I haven't taken the time to
investigate further. Hibernate works fine but I haven't tried Suspend
-- my battery only works for about five minutes.

Yesterday I installed 9.10 in a VM on my work PC. It works fine with
only one exception so far -- the login screen displays in 640x480 and
I can't figure out where to fix it. I fully expected a quick change
to the order of the Screen options in the xorg.conf but the file is
not in /etc/X11. So far, I've only verified that Firefox was able to
access the Internet, installed vim, and made sure it was current on
updates.

So far ... happy with both the upgrade and the install.

HTH,
Brad.
