I now live in Stockholm. But I was raised in Chicago and lived there
until I was 18. Then it was Arkansas. Then New Mexico. Then Sweden.

You might consider renting a bicycle. All along the lake is a park with
cycle paths. So it is easy to take the route I suggested and get from
place to place by bicycle.
