Virtual machines

Just did the exact same thing. Have 2TB of disk(s). Install XP Pro
on one 500GB partition of the second 1TB disk and the rest of the space
was for slackware.

The client wanted the Windows to both dual boot and be able to run in Virtual
mode. He had "heard" that there were some problems with VMWARE (Gotta love
those NBMS'ers, they Do so love spreading FUD).

Of note, had to INSTALL windows first and have the secondary hard disk noted
as the primary to install Windows, or it got REAL futzy about things. Did have
to set up 2 HARDWARE configs in windows before proceeding.

After that, got my Slack Installed and working. and then installed
the VMWORKSTATION to create a "Custom" VM machine on sdb1.

Did have some problems with VMWARE and drivers using the Windows
partition and "virtual" drivers, that kept trying to use "REAL" drivers
for the VGA and NIC. That was solved with installing the
vmware "toolkit".
