I fully agree. I value the result, so I ignore the radicals.
Fortunately, using Sidux, I don't have to put up with that sort of
crap. The Sidux developers are Debian heavyweights in their own right,
so I guess they don't need to blow their horns about the usual
el-fanatico-Debian garbage.
I enjoy Debian systems, but I've never been motivated to subscribe to
one of their lists for exactly the reasons you cited.
Enjoy your Fedora. There's nothing wrong with that choice.
