Hi all,

I used to be a big fan of Sun, but since the turn of the millennium, their hardware seems not to have progressed much. I don't know about service and support -- and more importantly, product delivery -- in the US and Europe, but in this part of Asia, delivery is almost always late and the "service" is arrogant and sometimes non-existent. Since starting my own company, I've switched to Intel and AMD processors, and I try not to support Solaris, unless I really have to. IMHO Sun deserves to "go under" and not be bought up.

Wow! Quoting Sun Tze? Impressive! Well, I'd rather IBM saved their money, but if it happens they should get rid of Sparc -- I'd say MySQL, Virtual Box and Java (bloatware though it may be) are the only assets worth saving.
