That seems to be overstating it a bit. Lately...
- Open sourced Java
- Open sourced Solaris
- Supported OpenOffice.org continually
All 3 of those are important and represent a significant contribution to the
OSS and Linux ecosystem.
I think I like Sun a lot better these days than when they were a very
proprietary, self absorbed, and overpriced Unix vendor. IMHO.
But no doubt their heyday seems to have passed somewhere in the late 90s.
