Well, I'm glad to see I'm not alone. Just after Christmas I was 
moving my office from downstairs to upstairs. I dropped a 17" monitor 
on my hand and split my ring finger from the joint at the base of my 
hand to the first knuckle. I spent a few hours (mostly waiting) in the ER.

It's better now ;-)
