I haven't "fiddled" with a kernel in years, although Ubuntu's kernels
tend to be the least stable & reliable in my experience. If you're
satisfied, that's great, but that just proves you're not pushing the
OS all that hard.

Funny how its only the Ubuntu users who seem to be having these problems.
