DNG converters?

No, its actually the reverse.  RAW is a particular DNG format.  DNG
is/was Adobe's attempt at creating an umbrella format that
'standardized' all the RAWs (one DNG to rule them all).  Every camera
vendor creates their own proprietary RAW format.
