Installing OpenOffice 3.0

Since I run Slack, I always to a rpm2tgz or rpm2tar then install from
those tar ball's ...

Might want to give that a try ...

Another option is to modify /etc/ld.so.conf and re-run ldconfig
man the ldconfig to see how ...
