One way which works for me is to look in /sys/bus/pci/devices/ and cd to the 
bus address from dmesg. You should find a file in this node such as net:eth0, 
net:eth1, etc. With this information 'ifconfig -a' will allow you to identify 
the individual interface by the MAC id.
