Good product, fast release cycle work fine for several releases then:
    NetworkManager PPTP plugin won't connect to PPTP server without a 
days forum trolling and bug work-a-rounds.
    GIMP 2.6 can't dictate paper size correctly from application (4x6 
photo card). Have to set printer config itself to be actual size.
    DVD's won't play - try regionset and all the css.sh special sauce 
and nothing (same hardware worked fine under 8.04)

The above aren't very esoteric applications. But Ubuntu 8.10 seems to 
have failed in testing and the rush to meet the release deadline.
