Hopefully you mean PCI-E (PCI-Express) and not PCI-X which is just a
64bit PCI bus.

Depends on what's in the EDID of your DFP.  Unless the card has double
TMDS support, it can't do much more than 1280x1024 at 60.  1440x900 is on
the border.
