Advice for a wireless access point

I have a D-Link DWL-2000AP+ wireless access point that has always been a
PITA. Recently, the problem has been brought to a head where an iMac
refuses to deal with it, even when it is in direct access in the same
room. So, I am considering getting a new access point. As I value the
advice found in these parts, I am requesting opinions on a good access
point. Opine away!
