I'm in what we call an ADSL 1 area so we are limited to 1500/256.

There are a few area's (major capital cities) that have 8000kbps services.

Fortunately the new government over here (Australia) says it's going to 
spend $2 billion on a high speed broadband for the whole country... I 
would love to be able to stream a movie without having to watch it in 
buffer segments.
