copying partitions from sata to sata

I use the Licve CD Gparted to copy the boot partition ( Windows XP ) 
from disk 1 to disk 2. After that I set the boot flag but disk2 fails to 
boot: some dis activities, then nothing, just black screen. vTried 
twice. Both failed.

Any idea ?
