Manitou is a little higher and closer to the mountain foothills than
Denver, and the weather south of Monument Hill (for you others: midway
between Denver and Colorado Springs / Manitou Springs) is usually a
little more severe than what we get. Denver isn't called the Queen
City of the Plains for nothing. Most years we get one or two days with
below zero readings.
