I remember reviewing Motion back in the day. Nice, but I'm such a poor 
programmer and I never did grok 'C' to the point of being good at hacking it 
to do what I want...

My most humble example of a bash script however, is eminently hackable. I used 
bash for glue and a small collection of linux tools to fashion an 
application. Sometimes, re-inventing the wheel is fun as well as a learning 
experience.
