Sidux (and of course sid in general) is supposed to be install once,
then upgrade forever. Well almost.
I upgraded 2 systems in the past two days.
1. The laptop was installed from the Eros CD release (3 months
backi?). Continuous upgrades since then. Two days back did kernel
upgrade, madwifi upgrade, and dist-upgrades all successful. Prior to
the updates, I did apt-get install mysql-server-5.0. No errors.
2. The desktop system was installed from the Gaia CD release (end of
October). Continuous upgrades since then. Yesterday tried apt-get
install mysql-server - failed - had to reconfigure. Tried kernel
update (failed). Tried dist-upgrade - failed with segfault in dpkg!!!
Google indicates some problems with mysql-server-5.0, but no resolution.
Reinstall of desktop to new partition had none of the problems. Still
same problem with iceweasel as reported above.
