root fs switching to read only?

Hi,

I'm facing a similar problem.

config:
rsync (version 2.6.6) from several OES1 machines (with nss FS on top) to a
SUSe Linux Enterprise Server 9 / kernel 2.6.5-7.283-smp
several jobs rsyncing to a LVM + several jobs rsyncing to a ReiserFS (2
different partitions)

rsync worked fine for several months.
from one day to the other rsync stopped unsuccessfully with following
symptoms:

error:
2008/12/15 14:22:34 [28837] rsync: failed to set times on "path_to_my_files"
(in 'servername'): Read-only file system (30)

Root-FS stays writeable, second volume (ReiserFS) stays writeable.
error occurs sometimes while syncing to LVM and sometimes while syncing to
ReiserFS.
after remounting or rebooting --> FS is rw again.... until next night....
than same prob occurs again... sometimes with the same job... sometimes with
different jobs.

Any suggestions?

greetings
christian
