Bob: my Presario with its CPU upgrade is "cool" in all respects. The
heatsink is passive, and a cardboard hood taped to the power supply
draws air directly from the heatsink. If yours is running hot, check
inside to make sure the hood is in the right place.
I really like this old Presario; it is silent in operation and the new
K6-III+ brain, along with the Promise ATA100 IDE card, really move it
along. I only wish I could cram some more RAM in it.
