Tesseract works but isn't there a nice GUI application that could make it's use point and click?

To prepare images for consumption by tesseract requires a Google and a 
read and apply of http://www.howtoforge.com/ocr_with_tesseract_on_ubuntu704.

My question:

Is there any other more integrated OCR packages for Linux which don't 
require doing a 5 step prepare of the scanned images before OCR'ing?

Your thoughts?
