It looks like it is gone for good. After Libra Computer System's
founder Jon Danzig died, his son an codeveloper Tal went on to other
endeavors. However, Tal has returned to his home town Vancouver, BC, so
who knows what he'll decide to do next.
For those who are not familiar with Libranet, it was a Debian distro
boasting a simple, text based installer (later upgraded to a slick
graphic installer), some excellent Perl script admin tools bundled into
"adminmenu" ( sort of a hybrid COAS with added tools, such as a really
slick kernel config and compile tool) and a lot of tweaks to deal with
Debian quirks, such as the screwy Kppp.
I was a beta tester for the last three releases, and I can attest to the
devotion of its developers and beta team to getting each Libranet
release "right."
