I never tried Caldera, wish I had as it seems a lot of folks on this list ran
it at one time or another. When I moved to the UK and was setting up my
computer I decided to buy CD's rather than to download via dialup and at the
local store only SuSE and Corel were available. I bought SuSE and had
problems getting kppp to work then. I seem to remember, when I moved to RH 7.0
that kppp worked ok, but I still liked wvdial better. When I switched to
Debian kppp never worked right for me. Then we got cable.
I seem to recall within the past month a couple of kppp problems on the debian
user list, so I guess it's still an issue.

I ran Libranet on an old HP box that has since been retired. I liked it, it
was easy to set up and maintain.

Kind Regard,
