Linux/MythTV and ATI HDTV Wonder card

Hey all,
I just banged my head against a wall for weeks of intermittent "fun" trying to
figure out how to actually use my ATI HDTV Wonder card with Linux and MythTV.
Basically, this is very good information here:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/ATI_HDTV_Wonder
but the most important thing I was missing was downloading and installing the
Firmware into /lib/firmware! I had missed that in other resources I was
using. Without this firmware, I was unable to successfully find any channels
while scanning hi-def channels, giving me the impression that the card was
broken... in a way, it was... by my doing. Now I just need to move my
antenna and get better reception (I didn't get all the local stations I was
hoping for), and figure out more details about which scanning method works
with what medium... there's also a jitter I'm seeing that I seem to remember
reading about before. Just need to find it. I'm not there yet, but this is
showing some promise now.
Anyway, since this list gets well-googled, I wanted to share this information
in a place others might find it.
