If you wish to restrict to hours per day you can run cron and iptables
to lock internet access. I think smoothwall and clones has that
functionality. But that is a solid lock which doesn't give notification
of the upcoming event.
The other way I could think of would be to have dan g put up a redirect
when the internet hours are up... "Sorry kids go out and play. The
internet is down until another day"
I haven't seen login controls
