There have been reports of problems with the cifs.ko kernel module
in CentOS 4.5 and 5.0 in the last week. The Subject is CentOS
5.0 crash (cifs bug ?). The first post had a couple of URLs:

There is apparently a patched cifs.ko in the bug tracker.
I noticed the thread, but didn't pay much attention as we have no
Windows machines on our networks, and only one of our customers
is running CentOS at this time.
