cable limit

I need to connect two devices which are about 500 or more feet apart.
Wireless is not possible in this environment. So I think I am going to
use the RJ45 cable with T1 modules at two ends. I tried this with short
distance for testing the T1 ( with one end provides the sync clock ) but
I don't know how long I can extend the cable in this case ?

Any other option I can try ?
