Anyone Install Fedora 8 Test Releases - If so how did it go?

I ended up installing VMWare workstation 5 on F7 and after a little bit of
mucking around with the Fedora8 Test3 Live CD (Fedora 7.92) got it to
install.

The Live CD for Test3 is pernicky about the Live to Harddisk install under
VMware. It kept on saying that it couldn't mount /boot (because the
install routine was failing to format /dev/sda1 (/boot) as ext3). After
doing the install and it failing I think formatted /boot and then ran the
install again and selected to use the existing partitions without wiping
things out and the install took.

Still at 800x600 resolution and it seems that VMware tools is needed to
fix this ... So I have to install a compile environment to get the vmware
tools and kernel modules working.
