Fedora core 7

I have used the bit torrent to dl the new Fedora core 7 dvd and installing a
fresh new hard drive and system.

Can smart or yum update a ver 6 system to 7? Has anyone done this yet.
I have installed the latest xfce4 on FC 6, I really do not like it. too messy and
the icon bar bar is not like the last version. How do I back out of this newer
version and restore the last stable version of xfce4?
