I use it at work for all that and it is fine for my needs.  It used to
crash or lose the backend connection to our crapchange server but I've
been using 2.8.2 for a few months and it doesn't happen anymore.  

The only annoyance I've noticed is that reminders on the calender don't
pop up unless you are actually on the calendering section of the app.  I
have really looked into it though because I don't use reminders a whole
lot.
