Wow.  Define "typical".  Obviously, the more of the screen you
capture, the (i.e., the bigger the box), the bigger the file and the
faster it grows.  Capturing an xterm box plus part of an mrtg graph
for approx 7 minutes resulted in a 4Mb file.

I have other files of from 1-4Mb in size.
