The box the mouse came in says "USB or PS/2".  And then it has a USB 
connector on the cord and in the box came one of those annoying little 
adapters that takes the USB plug and converts it to a PS/2 plug.  I 
don't like it because it kind-of looks like it puts a lot of strain on 
the PS/2 connector on the MB.  But it works.
