Something must have gotten lost in the translation there! <chuckles> You
hold/bite a glass of Ouzo with your teeth, toss your head back and drink
with no hands. The trick is to swallow with your head back and not
breathe the Ouzo. It's not a natural thing to swallow in that fashion.
Then you (as the Groom) hold a handkerchief for someone else to hold
onto, and lead the dance around the hall in snake-dance fashion (Oh-pa!)
and get drunk. I'm not a successful drinker as I tend to puke way too
easily. So whirling around my Southern Baptist self with all of my
relatives caught up in the clutch of my exotic in-laws, trying to keep
up with the drinking and dancing to the live Greek bouzouki band at the
reception was something to see. We honeymooned that night during our
move from D.C. to Odessa Texas. I don't even remember it.
