GCC as a matter of fact. No, turns out the -W flag was
set in the compile line option. IT was suppose to have a
-Wwriteable-strings , but that SEEMED to trigger a HOSt of
the other warning messages. So I safely took out the
"writable-strings" and all is well in OZ now ...

Now if I can ONLY get David B. to learn to write in Python
we would be OK ;-> ....
