Yes, the SxS list distinguishes itself by its combination of eclecticism 
and self-discipline.
If anyone has a right to complain, it is I (or anyone else still on 
dial-up.)

If  a discussion does not interest me, I have the "delete" key.

If this really is a problem, then how about the extreme solution: poll 
the list for the majority opinion?
