LOL! You're not the only one! I had "sticker shock" myself when I was
working for an all-Microsoft company not too long ago and had to figure
out the whole volume licensing scheme when all I wanted were 2 more
licenses for WinXP.
Anyway, I don't begrudge Red Hat trying to make more money out of
licensing -- just as long as they do not try to shut down the RHEL
alternatives like CentOS, WBEL, etc. Personally, I don't understand the
whole deal about paying for support anyway, because, in my small corner
of Asia, that support is typically pretty poor, no matter which vendor,
OS or application, you are talking about.
