gnu Make tutorials?

There's a fair amount of documentation in the gnu-make source
tree (that is if you consider ``info'' documentation :-).

One of the best sources I've found is ``Gnu autoconf, automake,
and libtool'' from New Riders, ISBN 1-57870-190-2.

I first learned my way around make from Kernighan and Pike's
``Unix Programming Environment'' which I still think should be
required reading even though it's about 23 year old.
