Come on, Mike, this is what stuff like Knoppix was made for.  A lot of
other distros are making a Live CD/DVD too.  Just get the Knoppix DVD
and boot from it.  Put all your important files on a USB memory stick.

No one will ever now you've never booted into Windoze, although they
may wonder why you never file any trouble reports/call the support
desk/drop off your laptop for software repair.

Vista is a nightmare -- and it does blue screen.  You'll be better off
without it.
